Stonecreek awarded the new science laboratory and classroom building at Grand Valley State University

The new $55 million Science Laboratory Building at Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan will have its interior laboratories outfitted with casework, table systems and fumehoods by CiF Lab Solutions…represented by Stonecreek Interior Systems. “We are proud to have been selected as the casework provider for this prestigious University. Our being invited to join the project delivery team of Fishbeck Thompson Carr & Huber, Research Facilities Design (RFD) and Pioneer Construction is a testament to our commitment in the State of Michigan”, stated Mike Lee, President of Stonecreek Interior Systems.

Construction will begin in July on the 155,000-sf facility, which will provide nine classrooms, 14 research labs, 15 teaching labs, 160 faculty offices, and a greenhouse. The four-story building will also house eight conference rooms, eight student study spaces, and offices for graduate students. The laboratory design consultant is Research Facilities Design (RFD). LEED Silver sustainable design certification will be sought for the project. Occupancy is expected in fall of 2015.
