Grand Valley State University (GVSU) completed a 151,720 sq. ft., four story new building construction project to establish the Douglas Kindschi Hall of Science. The facility consists of 15 teaching labs, 14 faculty and student research labs, a computational research lab, study spaces, offices and
conference rooms. Academic programs that will be housed in Kindschi Hall of Science include Biology and Molecular Biology. The $55 million state-of-the-art facility received $30 million from the State of Michigan; the remaining $25 million from a variety of resources and generous donations. The facility received LEED silver certification.
